1. What Stepray is

These terms apply when you use the Stepray app from Abanoub Michael, a private individual based in Egypt ("we"). Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Stepray is a planning and timer app that helps you start tasks, notice time passing and remember what matters. It is a productivity tool, not a medical device or treatment. Nothing in the app is medical advice. The medication reminder only reminds you at the time you set; it never gives dosing information. For diagnosis, treatment or medication, talk to a qualified professional.

2. Who can use it

Stepray is for adults 18 and over.

3. AI-made steps

Splitting a task uses an AI model to suggest steps. Suggestions can be incomplete or wrong, so use your own judgment, especially for anything about health, money, safety or law. You can edit or ignore every step. If a task suggests you might be in danger, the app shows help resources instead of steps. Stepray isn't an emergency or crisis service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The free plan includes 5 splits a week; Stepray Plus includes 50 (see 5). Splits that fail don't count. You can turn splitting off under Me → Privacy.

4. Reminders

We work hard to make reminders reliable. Still, phones can delay or block notifications, for example through battery savers, Do Not Disturb or permissions you've turned off. Please don't rely on Stepray alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as taking medication on time.

5. Stepray Plus (subscription)

Stepray Plus is an optional paid subscription, monthly or yearly. The price in your currency and the billing period are shown on the Plus page before you subscribe.

Free trial. Eligible monthly subscriptions include a 4-day free trial; eligible yearly subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Google Play decides who is eligible, usually once per Google account. You pay nothing until the trial ends, and your phone reminds you 2 days before the first charge.

Billing. Google Play sells and bills the subscription under Google's terms. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check what you have bought.

Renewal and cancelling. Plus renews automatically every month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time in Google Play (the Plus page links there: Manage in Google Play). Plus then runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your data in Stepray does not cancel it.

Price changes. If we change the price, Google Play tells you before the new price applies to you and, where the law or Google requires it, asks for your agreement. You can cancel before it applies.

Refunds. Google Play handles refunds under its refund policy. You can also write to us.

What Plus includes. 50 splits a week instead of 5, and five extra designs with matching app icons. Features marked "coming soon" on the Plus page, such as body doubling, aren't part of what you pay for today; if we add them, we'll say so in the app.

Always free. Reminders, medication reminders, timers, Focus, routines, and exporting or deleting your data are never behind the paywall.

Your rights. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal in your country, aren't affected. We don't ask you to give them up.

6. Fair use

Please don't misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, to get around the free limits, or to use splitting for anything unlawful or harmful.

7. Your content

Your tasks belong to you. You let us process them only as needed to run the features you use, as described in the privacy policy.

8. Availability and changes

We may improve, change or retire features. Features that need our server, like splitting tasks and sync, need a connection and may sometimes be unavailable. Everything else works offline.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory product liability law applies. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law of your country doesn't allow it.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll show the new version in the app before it applies to you.

11. Law and contact

Egyptian law applies, without taking away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. Questions: stepray.app@gmail.com.

Prices shown are planned launch prices in euros, including VAT where applicable, and may change before launch. You'll always see the price before you subscribe.
